Development Time:
4 weeks
My Contributions:

Platform & Controls:
PCVR, Oculus Go, Unity
Game Description:
This VR experience where players control a hamster ball while dodging obstacles throughout an obstacle course.
Objectives of the Game:
Create an enjoyable VR experience on the Oculus Go that's engaging
Learn to work within strict time requirements
Late Additions to the Team
Because of the schedule of the project and the way the course was going, the artists would enter the project midway through development, meaning that the designers and programmers would need to focus on getting the artists caught up on the game and get the artists ready to get straight into making assets. This was achieved on the designers end by writing a short but concise Game Design Document to get everyone on the same track and to get rolling.
Working with new Hardware
Creating a new game within 4 weeks is difficult to say the least but with new Hardware such as VR it was much more of a challenge. only 2 (me included) of all team members could even playtest the game. Even with this hinderance I decided that I would take the majority of bug testing as I had the most experience with VR and i also made the level so I'd know what to exactly look for when bug testing. Working closely with the programmers also was a major reason why I would know what exactly to look for when bug testing and because of this the project turned out pretty well.
Summary
This unit was one of my most anticipated subject as i want to work directly in the VR gaming industry, so I took this unit upon myself to learn as much as i could about VR and how to properly work with the Hardware and it turned out very good for such a short project.
